Jonathan Eric Agin
Jonathan Eric Agin was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Agin graduated from John Carroll University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and a minor in History. After spending two years as an account executive and marketing representative for a Fortune 500 company, he then attended Case Western Reserve School of Law where he received a Juris Doctor. While at Case Western Reserve School of Law, Mr. Agin was an Associate on the Case Western Reserve Law Review and later served as a Contributing Editor.

Mr. Agin focuses his practice on cases involving medical malpractice, general liability matters including, security cases, premises liability matters, auto torts, construction cases and insurance coverage.

Since receiving his Juris Doctor degree, Mr. Agin has been a trial attorney in Washington, DC. Prior to forming Taylor Sylla & Agin, LLP, Mr. Agin practiced for a large worldwide law firm. Mr. Agin has acted as lead trial counsel in numerous civil matters in Washington, DC and Maryland. Additionally, Mr. Agin has successfully mediated and arbitrated several large medical malpractice and general liability cases in both Washington, DC and Maryland. Mr. Agin has also argued before the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.

Mr. Agin additionally serves on the Board of Directors of Reef Relief based out of Key West, Florida. Reef Relief is a non-profit grassroots organization that seeks to conserve coral reefs and educate people about threats to these natural resource

Mr. Agin is licensed in the District of Columbia, Maryland, The United States District Court for the District of Columbia, The United States District Court for the District of Maryland and The Supreme Court of the United States of America.

Jean-Marie Sylla, Jr.
Jean-Marie Sylla, Jr. received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Master of Science in Management and Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland. In addition, Jean-Marie holds an LL.M. degree in Insurance from the University of Connecticut. During his law studies, Jean-Marie served as the Managing Editor for the Journal of Health Care Law & Policy and represented the school in four National Trial Advocacy Competitions. In 1997, he was a member of the National Team, which placed as a National Finalist in the American Bar Association National Competition for trial advocacy in Chicago, Illinois.

Mr. Sylla currently serves as the firm’s managing partner. Mr. Sylla is a litigation attorney specializing in business litigation, general liability, insurance litigation, and real estate matters. He represents clients of the Firm in a variety of commercial, corporate and tort matters, including insurance coverage, construction, health care, ERISA and premises liability.

Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Sylla entered private practice where he represented medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers in product liability actions, and insurance companies in insurance coverage disputes. Mr. Sylla has also successfully represented clients in landlord/tenant matters, tax foreclosure and other real estate matters in the District of Columbia and State of Maryland.

Mr. Sylla has litigated cases in state and federal courts in many jurisdictions, including, Alabama, the District of Columbia, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. Mr. Sylla is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Sylla is an active member of the Tort and Insurance Section of the American Bar Association, Maryland Defense Counsel and Defense Research Institute.

Marshall Taylor
Marshall Taylor received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with an academic concentration in Economics from Bucknell University and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). While attending UCLA, Mr. Taylor participated in the Moot Court Honors Program and served as a member of the Public Interest Law Foundation and the Communications Law Journal.

Mr. Taylor is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland, California, and Georgia, as well as being admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Districts of Maryland and Georgia.  His practice areas include civil and commercial litigation, education and family law. Mr. Taylor currently serves as chair of both the Educational Law and Professional Ethics committees at the firm. His professional responsibilities include, analyzing and resolving ethical issues that arise as part of the firm’s practice, including identifying, analyzing, and resolving conflicts of interest as well as managing all educational cases handled by the firm.

After receiving his undergraduate degree, Mr. Taylor worked as an Area Account Manager for a Fortune 500 company before pursuing his Juris Doctor degree. He began practicing law as a public defender where he managed a substantial case load and served as lead counsel in over two dozen jury trials. After leaving the public defender’s office, Mr. Taylor continued his trial work, but in the areas of Civil and Commercial litigation at a major California based law firm. There he represented both public and private agencies in a multitude of large scale litigation matters.  Mr. Taylor began his own firm, Law Office of Marshall W. Taylor, P.C., in Washington, DC, in 2001 where, in addition to managing the firm’s operations and employees, he also managed a significant portfolio of work, including individual tort claims, small businesses contracts, and commercial litigation matters.  Mr. Taylor’s practice also included substantial work as an educational advocate representing hundreds of parents and children in actions against public school districts wherein students had been denied a free and appropriate public education.

Outside of work, Mr. Taylor has served as a board member of the Young Lawyer’s Section of the District of Columbia Bar Association from 2001-2004 as well as having served on the Community Service Committee of the Young Lawyers Division of the Washington Bar Association in 2002. He has lectured at the Harry Blackmun Summer Law College and has appeared as a guest speaker on Clear Channel Washington Public Affairs, Radio Law Clinic. Mr. Taylor remains an active member of The Washington Bar Association and The National Bar Association.

Antoinette N. Moore
Antoinette N. Moore received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland at College Park and her Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law. She graduated from the University of Maryland as a College Park Scholar with a citation in Children’s Advocacy. During her law studies, Antoinette was a member of the Virginia Capital Case Clearinghouse and served as a Managing Editor for the Capital Defense Journal. Additionally, she was selected as a pupil to the Ted A. Dalton American Inn of Court.

Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Moore served as a law clerk for nine senior judges at the District of Columbia Superior Court. She has also served as a law clerk in the Civil Division of the District of Columbia Office of the Attorney General and the Chambers of Magistrate Judges in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia. Ms. Moore is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia.
